Believe it or not, women are still treated like secondary citizens in Hollywood. At least, the recently finished TV broadcast of the Golden Globe nominations hinted out at this fact. Edie Falco who gave her all in The Sopranos episodes was one of the few women who were treated with dishonor in the nominations.

The much famed actor was abandoned to be read at the nominations. This was for the best actress in a comedy series. How could that be guys? Honestly speaking, I don’t know whether they have done it on purpose or what? But the fact remains as it is. Courteney Cox, Toni Collette, and Lea Michele were among the other women who were treated likewise. I personally hate such kind of acts and can’t really make out why all these things keep happening.

Just think Guys! Even people like you and me don’t make mistakes like that. Then how come such renowned personalities commit these mistakes. Anyways, I don’t think that there were many mistakes made by Edie Falco when I did watch The Sopranos Online.

I don’t want to mention the names of the celebrities involved in this but seriously speaking, I can’t grasp it. I mean, it’s not a question of Man or Woman but it’s really a question of dignity. Hey guys! Everyone knows what it takes to read a piece of paper correctly. Anyways, at the same time I would like to add my honest admission that Edie Falco is one of my personal favorite. May be that’s why I am going a bit over the moon.

I can very well imagine you all getting curious to know that which star from The Sopranos am I talking about. I will not keep you guessing for too long. The star we are going to talk about is James Gandolfini who portrayed our favorite Tony Soprano in the show. When I say he’s back to his old ways doesn’t mean that he has become a mobster in real life. Nor is he playing such role in any new show. The truth is that recently he has been caught on a tape while threatening a paparazzo. Hey, appears as though the man hasn’t forgotten his acting career as Tony Soprano. It’s not only him, even we still see him as Tony Soprano.

This all is believed to have happened around Halloween when Gandolfini, 48, was with his son Michael. They both were in New York City, shopping for Halloween when he spotted a videographer taping him. The video shows The Sopranos actor moving towards him raging with anger as though he would kill him. In the background the photographer is heard asking him to “relax”. Before shouting at the paparazzi he pushes away the camera. He is reported to have said, “I’m gonna break your f**king face!” It hasn’t been made clear whether the photographer has filed charges against him or not.

Whatever, at-least we got a glimpse of the much loved show, though not on the sets. This act of his was a typical The Sopranos one. Though people might think of all this happening as strange but for us who have watched the show, it’s just so normal. Tony Soprano despite of his grey shades had won our hearts with his complexity. He suffers from panic attacks as a result of business responsibilities and a difficult childhood.

He faces a lot of difficulties at home as well. He has strained relations with his mother. Though not much successful in personal life, he was very active as a head of criminal organization. A long list of his murders totals to about eight. Despite of these direct killings, he was also responsible for countless others which occurred on his orders.

Howdy Sopranos fans. No, our very own Carmela Soprano hasn’t become a nurse in real life. It’s just her role in the show Nurse Jackie. She plays the lead role of Nurse Jackie in this show. This role is entirely different from her role as Mrs. Soprano where she was used to polished talons and shrapnel’s. This reveals her versatility; she can easily fit into any kind of role. This actress has kept the show going with her acting skills. Here she plays a confused and hardworking nurse. She doesn’t get tired after doing double shifts at the New York hospital. Her role is a non violent one and she maintains a sort of multiple identity in the show.

The show depicts Falco at her best. She can handle any kind of role very easily. The same is true for her personal life too. She had proved her inner strength and commitment to work earlier while shooting for Sopranos. You might be aware of how she kept her breast cancer a secret and continued with shooting for the show along with her treatment. She is such a legendry actress. Regular face of ‘Sopranos’, Michael Imperioli, has made his fist directing debut in movie “The Hungry Ghosts”. The movie is about youngsters who indulge and experience sex, drugs searching for spirituality and the purpose of their lives. It portrays the difficulties faced by teenagers following wrong path under the peer pressure. The movie will be premiered on 15^th September, 2009 in Manhattan.

Michael’s old buddies like Vince Curatola and Lorraine Bracco, Steve Schirripa and Sharon Angela of HBO’s hit TV show “Sopranos” are invited for the evening which will be a re union for them after such a long time.

Christopher said the movie somewhat matches to his role played in ‘Sopranos’. The only difference is that it totally focuses on such characters. These characters also get trapped in the vicious circle of drugs and become irresponsible, due to which they have to face various problems and frequently get insulted.

Telling about the importance of ‘Sopranos’ Michael said it was his best part of life and still people recognize him by the name of the character he played. It was the role for which he got nominated before Emmy Awards for maximum times and won one in 2004.

For the fans of ‘The Sopranos’, the popular HBO series, Drea de Matteo, 37, is Adriana La Cerva, the long time girlfriend and later fiancé of Christopher Moltisanti. Drea has won Emmy Award and several other prestigious awards for her appearance on the series. Her performance on The Sopranos helped Drea to become one of the most famous celebrities of the entertainment world. Edie Falco who played the role of “Carmela Soprano” in ‘The Sopranos‘ will return on television for her role in the Showtime dark comedy ‘Nurse Jackie’. The series will most probably start airing on 8 June, this year. The 45 years old, Edie is a breast cancer survivor and she will now nurse the patients in most wicked, heartbreaking and the funny manner in ‘Nurse Jackie’.

The series is based on the journal of a real-life Manhattan ER nurse. If the pilot of the show is any indication, then this wickedly stimulating nurse has a dual personality. On one hand, she is angelic as a nurse, a wife and a mother but on the other hand, she is addicted to painkillers, commits adultery and acts as a vigilante (even suffers from Robin Hood Complex).

We saw Edie Falco as the materialistic, well organized and strong lady married to the mob boss Tony Soprano in ‘The Sopranos’ and now, we will see her as a interestingly wicked and funny nurse, Jackie who is always trying to do the right thing even when her methods are a bit unusual, to say the least. Well, I said ‘to say the least’ because in the pilot itself she does a few things that conventional wisdom would frown upon like flushing an ear down the toilet, giving boots and cash to a young girl besides taking the justice in her own hands.

When asked to comment on this upcoming series that’s what she had to say. “I started reading a lot of scripts after I finished The Sopranos.  I thought I would know when the right script came - and that’s what happened.”

She further added, “I was included in conversations about production - cast and crew decisions, dialogue, etc. and have been surprised to discover that I actually have opinions about these things and have loved being part of the larger process.”

The filming for ‘Nurse Jackie’ that started in last November, has been done entirely in New York, very close to Silver Cup studios where the ‘The Sopranos’ was filmed.

While thumbing through some news website, I read the above statement, stating that ‘The Sopranos‘ can be one of the best TV shows ever. This six-season long HBO drama was very well received by viewers and it got appraise from viewers and critics alike. HBO was its original podium and it later found its way on various other networks in dozens of other countries. stumbling.

All events were set in New Jersey and protagonist was Tony Soprano, a mobster. It threw light on his everyday troubles as he tried his best to manage with the conflicting requirements of his domestic life while coping with the issues of the criminal organization he heads. The credit of Sopranos’ success goes to Chase and the writing team which dealt brilliantly with psychological, philosophical and social aspects of life of an individual with criminal background.

The title of the most financially successful series has already been given to ‘The Sopranos’ and it’d really be a surprise if people choose it as the best TV show ever. It was the show which brought in a great level of artistry which hundreds of dramas later followed. Evaluation of its enormity can be done from the fact that ‘The Sopranos’ has won twenty one Emmy Awards and five Golden Globe Awards, only a few series can claim to have matched the same level.

‘The Sopranos’ came to an end on June 10, 2007 with the series finale ‘Made in America’. This episode brought an end to a great six season long series. Here, we saw that while coping with the rumors of his own crew might have flipped, Tony tried to seek peace with Leotardo crew. AJ took an important decision regarding his upcoming life. Elsewhere Silvio was still in coma. Bobby had been derailed so nothing was left hidden. It was an awesome episode and gave a good end to a well received drama. Sopranos was rounded up rather hurriedly a year back but HBO has not been able to come up with another series that would strike the same chord with the audience as this David Chase’s Mafia saga did. Fans and critics alike are feeling the void left by Tony, Carmella and Sopranos crew. But we are living in an era of reruns and DVDs which allows pop- culture creations to attain immortality. So The Sopranos has not in all practicality ceased to exist, rather Emmy Award winning series is back in a really, really big way. Tucked into a gorgeous, bound book encased in a jet black linen box, the 33-disc DVD set “The Sopranos: The Complete Series,” has been launched in the market which includes all six seasons of the show.

Priced at $400, it’s even more expensive than my wedding album. Agreed that it contains extra music DVDs and at least 10 deleted scenes, besides, footage from a “Sopranos” seminar at New York’s Paley Center for Media; a trio of “Sopranos” spoofs; a conversation between series creator David Chase and Alec Baldwin a “Supper With the Sopranos” feature, which allows viewers to sit in on two dinner-table discussions among cast and crew, but man, its $400!

As far as I think there is not even a single fan who already does not own at least one season of this series. It makes no sense to me to spend such a huge amount when you can download it for free. Personally I am not interested in watching deleted scenes, coz I believe that they are not worth watching if they were deleted in the first place. Adding music and other gibberish is just a marketing gimmick. Does anybody actually watch it? We all love to see our favorite characters and relive their lives with them. Behind the scene things kill the charm, for me at least.

Guy I am not here to introduce you with any new college of your locality, but I am talking about the award winning episode of Sopranos, named as College. Do you know for this particular episode the creator, David Chase had won an Emmy for creating a wonderful drama series. The series is based upon the life of a mobster, and we see how he makes a balance between his illegal profession of drugs and his continuous efforts to conceal the same from his family.

I am suggesting you to watch this episode because you won’t be able to get the same series again in future. As the creator David Chase has got retired from the Hollywood, after getting standing ovation at TCA awards last year. Not all the credit goes to him only, for the same episode Edie Falco too got an Emmy as an outstanding actress in the lead role, in a drama series. She plays Tony’s wife Carmela in this show.

She is suffering from Flu and her father gives her a visit in the end of this episode. Whereas, Tony is on short trip with Meadow, who wants to study in New England and on the way, a perfect drama has been weaved for the two. As Meadow I doubting upon him that half of their income comes from illegal means and her father has some secret which she is unaware of. Adding more to the drama, Tony meets a person on the way and he is familiar to him from his drugs trade and is afraid of disclosure of his bitter truth. I like such kind of unique stories. When it was on air I never missed an episode, and now this is my destination whenever I want to watch my favorite episodes again. I did buy the DVDs of all the seasons but my naughty dog scratched all of them one day. Now I find it the safest way that just visit to this site, watch the episode and enjoy harmlessly. I must say this was the different story in comparison to the other drama series on television and that’s why it was everybody’s favorite.
