Regular face of ‘Sopranos’, Michael Imperioli, has made his fist directing debut in movie “The Hungry Ghosts”. The movie is about youngsters who indulge and experience sex, drugs searching for spirituality and the purpose of their lives. It portrays the difficulties faced by teenagers following wrong path under the peer pressure. The movie will be premiered on 15^th September, 2009 in Manhattan.

Michael’s old buddies like Vince Curatola and Lorraine Bracco, Steve Schirripa and Sharon Angela of HBO’s hit TV show “Sopranos” are invited for the evening which will be a re union for them after such a long time.

Christopher said the movie somewhat matches to his role played in ‘Sopranos’. The only difference is that it totally focuses on such characters. These characters also get trapped in the vicious circle of drugs and become irresponsible, due to which they have to face various problems and frequently get insulted.

Telling about the importance of ‘Sopranos’ Michael said it was his best part of life and still people recognize him by the name of the character he played. It was the role for which he got nominated before Emmy Awards for maximum times and won one in 2004.

His ally and former HBO president who invested money for the production of ‘Sopranos’ committing to his memory divulged that he did not liked the script when he heard it for the first time but after two days when he read it with cool mind then, “I said to myself, this show is about a guy who’s turning 40. He’s inherited a business from his dad. He’s trying to bring it into the modern age. He’s got all the responsibilities that go along with that. He’s got an overbearing mom that he’s still trying to get out from under. Although he loves his wife, he’s had an affair. He’s got two teenage kids, and he’s dealing with the realities of what that is. He’s anxious; he’s depressed; he starts to see a therapist because he’s searching for the meaning of his own life. I thought: the only difference between him and everybody I know is he’s the Don of New Jersey.” Then, he made the decision to sponsor ‘Sopranos’… indeed a good decision.

If you haven’t got me, it’s Jamie Lynn Sigler, the 28 year old actress, known for her role of Meadow Soprano on ‘The Sopranos‘. And, the man is Jerry Ferrara, the 30 year old actor, who has touched the heights of success with his role of Turtle on the very popular HBO Network series ‘Entourage’. The duo has been in love with each other since October 2008, but has always remained mum about their relationship.

As we all know, love can’t remain hidden for long; the same has proved to be true with the pair. From the day first of their relation, media has been aware of what’s going on. And, the coupled has now decided to go public about their relation. Initiative is taken by Jamie Lynn Sigler as the lady spoke about her relation with Jerry, “This is the first time I’ve ever dated anyone in the industry and it’s kind of nice. It’s nice to have someone that understands kind of what you do; it’s a thing that we have in common a thing that we share. It’s all wonderful all good”. Their love and concern for each other is noticed very recently when it was the birthday party of Jamie, on May 15. A star-studded birthday soiree was thrown for her at Winston’s in West Hollywood. Among the celebrities were Leonardo DiCaprio, Kevin Connolly and several others. Okay, do you have any guesses what Jerry might have presented to his lady love? Hey, it was a glistering diamond ring which he slipped on her finger in the presence of the guests. People are saying that it was more than the birthday gift. One of the guests confided, “They are saying it was just a birthday present, but it looks like an engagement ring. Engaged or not, they are totally in love!”.

We really wish that Jamie’s past won’t come in the way of her new relationship. We all know that she was previously married to A.J. Discala, a businessman and they got divorced after three years of marriage.

Edie Falco who played the role of “Carmela Soprano” in ‘The Sopranos‘ will return on television for her role in the Showtime dark comedy ‘Nurse Jackie’. The series will most probably start airing on 8 June, this year. The 45 years old, Edie is a breast cancer survivor and she will now nurse the patients in most wicked, heartbreaking and the funny manner in ‘Nurse Jackie’.

The series is based on the journal of a real-life Manhattan ER nurse. If the pilot of the show is any indication, then this wickedly stimulating nurse has a dual personality. On one hand, she is angelic as a nurse, a wife and a mother but on the other hand, she is addicted to painkillers, commits adultery and acts as a vigilante (even suffers from Robin Hood Complex).

We saw Edie Falco as the materialistic, well organized and strong lady married to the mob boss Tony Soprano in ‘The Sopranos’ and now, we will see her as a interestingly wicked and funny nurse, Jackie who is always trying to do the right thing even when her methods are a bit unusual, to say the least. Well, I said ‘to say the least’ because in the pilot itself she does a few things that conventional wisdom would frown upon like flushing an ear down the toilet, giving boots and cash to a young girl besides taking the justice in her own hands.

When asked to comment on this upcoming series that’s what she had to say. “I started reading a lot of scripts after I finished The Sopranos.  I thought I would know when the right script came - and that’s what happened.”

She further added, “I was included in conversations about production - cast and crew decisions, dialogue, etc. and have been surprised to discover that I actually have opinions about these things and have loved being part of the larger process.”

The filming for ‘Nurse Jackie’ that started in last November, has been done entirely in New York, very close to Silver Cup studios where the ‘The Sopranos’ was filmed.
