The Sopranos season 2 begins airing on 1-16-2000 with the episode ‘Guy Walks into a Psychiatrist’s Office’. During the second season, the New Jersey mafia boss, Tony Soprano deals with himself as operating a vast criminal organization being a suburban husband and father. This season exiles his far from supportive mother Livia to a nursing home and she dies later on this season; and his uncle has been arrested by the feds so Tony feels that problems are over and everything is okay. But his life takes another unexpected turn when his untrustworthy, sexually prominence, and mentally disturbed sisters comes in. Another trouble arises when Richie Aprile, the elder brother of Jackie Aprile (former boss) arrives and is not ready to believe that a younger man has taken over the great crime organization.

Richie also has a mad-on for Tony’s trusted protégé Christopher whose own prestige within the mob continues to grow by leaps and bounds, especially after he engineers the family’s elaborate “pump-and-dump” stock scam. Christopher has a very close relation with Adriana La Cerva and who’s one of Uncle Tony’s mistresses. Even though, the FBI agent has been whacked but still someone is there who is feeding information to the feds. Tony’s sis makes an argument with Richie in typical Soprano style. Season was wrapped up on 4-9-2000 and the last episode from season was ‘Funhouse’. Tony discovers that both Janice and Richie are out of his way and also plans to get Livia out very soon. He suffers with food poisoning and has an amazing dream conversation with Pussy. Livia has been arrested by FBI.

Tony begins to think for his removal after Ruchie finally pushes him. He also reveals it too tough to break up with his Russian girl friend. Janice quarrels with Richie so takes the matters into her own hands.
